2 tier stacked cake..

I must thank Evelyn ( A nice and very easy to work with wedding planner in KK- if you need her number do email me) for asking me to make this cake. Honestly I rather make 2 single tier than 2 tier stacked cake as I am quite afraid to deliver this kind of cake. What happen if it collapse while making it or and how would I delivery it? That was constantly on my mind. So earlier this month, I made this cake for one of Evelyn's bride. It was not as hard as I would have imagined and I was actually awed at how it look in the end. I 've made the same design ( by request) quite a number of time and didn't post them here but I must post this one as the height made it look hmmm..more beautiful? So, all bride out there..order is open for this kind of cake. I appologize if I have declined some of past request..

Will make another one for shirley early next month and the colour choice is pink..I just can't wait!

Cakes Feasta..

She has just turned 1 ealier this month and I am so happy to have this number 1 cake for my darling baby ...planned to have as many cakes as possible but managed to bake 2 cakes, 100 cupcakes and 50 fondant iced cookies for her birthday. It was fun, just like preparing a wedding...that what my bro said. Anyway, it was great to see people enjoying the cakes and cupcakes in different flavour. Choc mud, Carrot Cheese, Choc and peanut and vanilla, all our best seller are on the table. and...as always the cupcakes vanished within seconds...till next time ya sona's friend.

I've been wanting to make these cute cookies for ages...and only manage to get it out from my over during my daugher's 1 year old birthday..too bad we only managed to pack enough for the goodie bags..and it's only for children below 12 years old..I've been told that the mummies didn't even manage to get a taste from their respective children..It must have taste sooooo yummy....hahaha.I bet coz I am liking it..

Calling children who love animals..

Rachel called me few days before her son's Tiago birthday to order a number 1 cake. I didn't get a confirmation until a day before the birthday..It was really last minute but since she had called earlier, I still accept the order. When the husband ( who made the final confirmation ) told me that I can do anything with my imagination, I feel happy..I wanted to do something that will interest a 1 year old. It's kind of easy as I have a 1 year old baby. She loves animals..name it, dogs, cats, mouse.It is just that I am not very sure I can make animal figurines. It idea came at 11pm while waiting for the mud cake to cool down..made the animals head ( for now head only la..hehe) and finished everything at 1am..phew..

The next morning, I opened the box and showed Sona the cake s he can easilyrecognised the animals and wanted to grab the doggie. I have no delivery boy or man around so I arranged for my maid to take an early leave, I normally send her at 5pm. We sent her to Penampang and send the cake to Tiago house in Sugud..

Few days later Rachel called and told me they love the cake and Tiago still kept the dog..who ate the rest? You can read Rachel's comment. Thank you too. It's a pleasure to 'participate' in his 1 year old birthday celebration..Next..It's my girl 1 year old birthday..

Shirley wanted a stacked cake for her daughter 2nd birthday held at the yatch club last month. She showed me a picture but the cake is so huge and cake feed 200 people. She wanted a smaller version. Here it is. I think the cake looks better when shots by Benny's sophisticated camera. He is also there to capture the event. Stack cake looks better when it is higher,like 4 inches each but quite heavy too.

All kind of Balls

This is the second time or second year I baked and decorated cupcakes for Christian. Last year I mad face cupcakes and this year Celine requested for balls theme. Any type of balls, football, basketball, what else? Just have a look and check if all the balls are there.Colour may be differeny as the tennis ball I didn't put green as but orange. Celine texted me " You should see how the kids balik balik minta cupcakes"..hahaha..

Happy Birthday Christian..

1 month to 1 year..

My baby is 1 year today. We were in KL about a month ago and I thought it would be great to celebrate her birthday with her cousin, Riasri..they are only 40 minutes apart.Shared the same birthday. I was overdue for almost a week and my sil gave birth 2 weeks earlier. How wonderful is that? So Sona and Riasri shared the same birthday..I like this cakes for its beauty. This took 2 hours to draw and paint. It is clear that Nina can draw, unlike me, I am quite bad with drawing but I like painting. I managed to score A1 In my SRP ( equavalent to PMR now) but only managed to get C3 during SPM.I hope you can understand why I normally don't do drawing on my cake but I am looking forward to try something new like this when I have more free time. So, for those of you who are in KL, can look out for her. I met her personally and surprisingly she lives very near to my sister in law house in Cheras. This is the second time I ordered her cake. It was funny, she loves my cakes - I mean my style of decorating and I love hers. May be next time we can learn from one another.

Time Flies SOOO Fast

Simple CNY cake ordered by Sharon..I felt it was just yesterday..how time flies and we are already in the month of March and soon April will follow and I have received phone call all the way from Lahad Datu to order cupcakes for Mother's day and then.. when I open my email today,another enquiry about our mother's day cake..oh owww.....slow down dearie..I am still busy with March order. Are You Gerrard?

This is funny...

I told my delivery boy to send this cake to one of the travel agency near town. He asked me " Untul Siapa?" I said, " Cari saja Gerrard" Of course I gave him the right address and the phone number.


Mid afternoon I received a call from him " Tiada orang nama Gerrard di sini"

I relied " Ha..ada lelaki kerja sana? " ..He answered " Ada, Satu orang saja lelaki". I continued to ask " Have you asked him if his name is Gerrard?.." Ya, tapi nama dia bukan Gerrard, name dia ....E..( not real name to protect privacy) Came his answer. Then I asked him to pass the phone to the man.

"Hello.. Is your birthday today" He answered : Yes..Do you know ...L? from KL...He replied " Yes"..Then I confidently said " The cake is for you..L ordered it especially for you.. He excitedly said Oh.. and Thank You..

I quickly told L about it and I think she had a good laugh..

Steven Gerrard is actually Liverpool's star player. Initially L wanted to put her bf name on the cake ( I didn't know which one is her bf's name, the first one or the second name which is Gerrard. In the end L decided to put Gerrard which I thought is his ( her bf) first or second name..Well, as long as I got the order right, the delivery place right and the date right, I think I passed the cake to the right person..ha ha

Btw, L loves the cake and because of the mixed up I have to post the pictures L..

Hello Adel..

Sorry mummy Adel..very late entry..

Adel had this cake for his 6th birthday. I can only managed to make cars,house but has to use some toys for the plane and helipcopter. Wait till I can master the art of making edible toys okay Adel..Her mum said he loves his cake and that is so pleasing to hear.

By the way, Adel is my friend's son and I didn't know it until his wife told me that she is married to him. small worl huh!
